Customs industry

Customs is a national administrative agency that exercises import and export supervision and management powers in accordance with the laws and administrative regulations of the country (or region).
According to the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China", China's customs has four functions: supervision, tax collection, smuggling and compilation of customs statistics.

1. Entry and exit supervision
Supervise the means of transport, goods, luggage, postal items and other items entering and exiting the country; collect duties and other taxes and fees; check smuggling; compile customs statistics; handle other customs operations.
The Customs of the People’s Republic of China is the country’s entry and exit supervision and management agency. It implements a vertical management system. It is divided into three levels in organization: the first level is the General Administration of Customs; the second level is the Guangdong branch with two special commissioners in Tianjin and Shanghai. Offices, 41 directly affiliated customs and 2 customs schools (Shanghai Customs College and Qinhuangdao Customs School);
The third level is the 562 subordinate customs agencies under the jurisdiction of the directly subordinate customs. In addition, it has offices in Brussels, Moscow, Washington, and Hong Kong. China Customs currently has more than 48,000 relevant officers (including customs anti-smuggling police). Today, there are 253 first-class ports of sea, land, and air approved by the state, in addition to nearly 200 second-class ports originally approved by the provincial government.
The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China supervises inbound and outbound means of transport, goods, luggage items, postal items and other items in accordance with the provisions of the "Customs Law."
